I want to say how impressed I was with EVERYONE with whom I came into contact at my recent visits to Touchstone Imaging. My doctor had written an order for a walk-in chest X-ray at whatever location worked best for me (so, not specified location). On Saturday, Feb 15, 2025, I drove to the Plano location, at 3304 Communications Pkway, Plano, TX, because that's the closest location to where I live. I arrived at a few minutes after 8 AM, right after that location opened for business on Saturdays, but when I presented the doctor's order, the young woman who took it told me that X-rays were not available at most locations, including the Plano location, on Saturdays. She then, kindly, added, "If you'd like, I'll try to find a location where you could have this X-ray done today." I said thank you and gave her the order. Within a few minutes, she called me back to her window and said I could have it done in Garland, if that would work for me, but she didn't know how far away that location was. I looked on my phone and said according to my nav system, it was 16 minutes away and that would work for me. She then entered all of my info into the computer so I was scheduled for the X-ray at the Garland location. She said she made the appointment for "an hour from now, so you have plenty of time to get there, but if you get there early, they'll take you early." I was so happy and so relieved. I drove to the Garland location, at 7217 Telecom Pkwy, and had my chest X-ray. Everyone there was also very nice and very kind. Everyone made me feel very comfortable. The only improvement I can suggest is it would be helpful for the website to state that X-rays (or not all tests) are available at all sites on a Saturday. If the website already says that, I somehow missed it; however, in the big scheme of things, it's minor to me because I was treated SO WELL, and that's unusual these days. I highly recommend Touchstone Imaging to anyone who needs to have testing done.

I had my appointment scheduled for three weeks prior to my appointment. I get a voice-mail the day before informing me that insurance needed verified. I called same day to provide insurance information and the scheduler informs me that my 8am appointment was cancelled. He rescheduled me for 10am and did not inform me to arrive 30 minutes early. I arrive for my appointment on time and the staff informed me that I would need to reschedule as a result of not arriving early and not having paperwork completed. I never received notification to complete my paperwork. The lack of communication on behalf of touchstone was an absolute failure. I am very dissatisfied and will never use touchstone again. This appointment was a waste of time, money and PTO.

Great experience - the front staff was friendly, professional and helpful as was the technician. A good technician who cares about your comfort and shows compassion makes a huge difference. I'd had this procedure done about 4 years ago elsewhere and it had not been a good experience.

Great place to come for mammogram. My appointment was scheduled at 1:15. I arrived 30 minutes early not sure if I needed to fill out paperwork. It was 2 minutes later I was called back for my exam. Every one there was so generous and kind. Looking forward to go back next year.

I had a great experience ,here service is fast they provide me bone density test result in only two hours. I had an appointment with my specialist after my this test so I requested to them if they can send my result to the docter and they sent it to them.
I highly recommend.

Took my mother for an MRI appointment for 11am. Was told to come in early 30 minutes for paperwork. It’s now past 11:35 and still sitting in the lobby waiting. Also the paperwork took less than 5 minutes to complete.

Update: Originally I rated this place a one star. I’m changing the rating because of one very caring and helpful staff member.

11:45. We decided to leave due to time constraints and frustration waiting. As we were leaving she came out to talk to us and explained the situation in detail. She spoke with the tech to let us know the actual time it will take for the procedure. We decided to return and get the MRI done since she put forth the effort and it’s difficult for my mother to go back and forth.

Please take in consideration the patient’s age and condition before scheduling the appointments Touchstone Imaging.

I have attempted to go through the proper channels to address my issue, next stop is a BBB complaint.

My endocrinologist ordered a Neck CT w/ and w/o contrast, 1. to prepare for a high risk biopsy of a nodule about 2-3 mm from my ceratoid artery and, 2. to ensure there were nothing other relevant concerns in addressing possible RE-OCCURANCE of thyroid cancer (from exposures in the military) after total thyroidectomy 2 years ago (22 yrs old). Insurance originally denied the provider request and agreed only to w/ contrast images. My doctor put in an expedited appeal that was APPROVED. What was performed? Images ONLY w/ contrast and not without. I addressed this with manager Ms. Diaz. She in response argued with me that my authorization was not acceptable since it was obtained from BSWH patient portal- which is the only way for me to access anything regarding my BSWH insurance. Ms. Diaz then had an employee, Nicole, call and change my procedure code to the procedure they performed, not the one my provider wanted. I have a recorded phone call with evicore saying they were told the provider made the request, not Touchstone (fraud). Stephanie (another manager) went ahead and scheduled me for the remaining images since I had the authorization letter and paid $1,695 out of pocket. Well, now insurance is denying the claim because they coded it under the code that no longer was approved since Ms. Diaz had them change it. Not to mention, the first set of images with contrast were not even readable because the tech did not provide instructions during the images and obviously didn't bother to check them while doing the scan. The report without contrast was supposedly compared to a report in April 2023 (months after my total thyroidectomy) that showed NOTHING. Yet somehow it compared similar to multiple nodules being present. I requested a re-read in which Stephanie said she would reach out to the radiologist and call back. Over a week later and I have heard nothing. I have been going here for years. I do not understand why I am having such a bad experience now. It is extremely frustrating.

As further insight to this issue, I am 24 yrs old, a 100% total and permanent disabled veteran who would (and has tried) go through the VA, if they didn't say I am too young to receive outside referrals despite my hx of cancer and other issues. So instead, I pay for insurance and out of pocket to get care. These issues are part of my service connections, to include cancer. Yet, I am dealing with this.
