Our family has had to endure immediate family deaths over the past few years and each time we went to Scalia Funeral Home. We went there because it was recommended by a family friend and they handled everything professionally and efficient. However, over time there were noticeable oversights and mistakes that occurred due to poor planning and inexperienced staff. At the time of a death you're the most vulnerable and it is difficult when you realize some things did not go well. Limousines should not break down or have no air conditioning and have a rude driver. All aspects of the burial should be seamless, not seeing Cemetery workers carrying the casket and placing it above the grave where the green tarp is open to the grave below. You cannot unsee images like that, it is sloppy and unforgivable. I would not recommend Scalia Funeral Home because they became a disappointment for me.

From the moment my wife passed until the funeral mass ended, the Scalia staff performed at the highest level of professionalism. Any of my, or my family's, concerns or questions were handled immediately and with the utmost courtesy and concern given the circumstances. I would recommend their services without reservation.
